A tea shop in Abu Dhabi has been closed by local authorities for violating multiple food safety regulations.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) said in a statement that it has closed the Kacheri Tea Time cafeteria due to the threat to public health.
The department said the decision came after multiple violations were uncovered during inspections.
Authorities found insects in its kitchen; cooked food stored at different temperatures; and poor hygiene at the facility, the statement said.
