UAE: Top 15 companies for career advancement revealed – News

Dubai’s flag carrier Emirates and consumer goods manufacturer Procter & Gamble (P&G) have been named the UAE’s top employers for professional career development.

Most of the 15 companies are international brands already listed on LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network.

The UAE’s 2023 ranking highlights the growth of well-known FMCG companies such as Procter & Gamble, Majid Al Futtaim and Henkel. Procter & Gamble and Henkel both took their places in the rankings for the first time, while Majid Al Futtaim soared from 13th in 2021 to fourth this year.

Procter & Gamble, a multinational company specializing in a wide range of consumer products including personal care, detergents and pet food, made notable appearances in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, demonstrating its strong foothold in the GCC and commitment to career development for its employees capabilities across markets.

“This year’s list shows that the world of work is still changing dramatically, and it’s interesting how fast our market is evolving, with 75% of the UAE and Saudi Arabia top companies list for 2023 being new entrants,” LinkedIn News Mena Editor-in-Chief Lynn Chouman said.

“This is a testament to the dynamic nature of the modern workplace and how top industries are growing with market trends. Our data recognizes companies that remain employers of choice amidst global uncertainty, while looking for the best places to work in the region as professionals valuable resource,” added Chouman.

The companies are ranked based on eight pillars that have been proven to boost career growth: ability to advance; skill growth; company stability; external opportunities; company affinity; gender diversity; educational background and employee presence in the country.

To qualify, companies must have at least 500 employees in the country as of Dec. 31, 2022, and experience no more than 10% attrition over the methodological time period, according to LinkedIn data.

It excludes all staffing and recruiting firms, educational institutions and government agencies. It also excludes LinkedIn, its parent company Microsoft and Microsoft subsidiaries.
