DUBAI, UAE, 03 May 2023: Europe maintains its lead as the most desirable destination for UAE tourists in 2023, according to a large-scale survey conducted by dnata Travel, the leading travel provider in the UAE.

After sharing insights, travel plans and preferences, 43% of survey respondents said they would like to travel to Europe on their next vacation, followed by Indian Ocean islands (20%). The most popular countries on travelers’ lists include Switzerland, the Maldives and Türkiye.

The majority (28%) of respondents plan to book leisure travel two to six months in advance, compared to days or weeks in previous years. Travelers are also booking a wider range of vacation packages, with 37% citing ‘all inclusive’ as part of their ideal travel package in 2023.

Most respondents plan to travel in July 2023, while other travel peaks expected this year include April, June, August and December.

Meerah Ketait, Head of Retail and Leisure, Dnata Travel, commented: “Our latest survey was conducted amid high demand and the general consensus is that this will continue to grow. Places like Europe are popular for their diverse landscapes, ranging from modern or Historic city retreats to beach resorts or island getaways.Experiences that focus on wellness and nature are also trends for travelers in 2023.

Based on the findings and overall booking trends, dnata Travel experts are working with their global partners to find a wider range of holiday packages for 2023. For example, Club Med’s premium all-inclusive “summer mountain” offering in Europe will be the focus of the team this summer, along with its beach resorts in Turkey and beyond.

The Dnata Travel survey was conducted in the first quarter of 2023 among thousands of UAE tourists.
