He also confirmed “the UAE’s sincere desire to strengthen relations with Turkey”.

“His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Turkey in November 2021 and His Excellency President Erdogan’s visit to the UAE in February 2022 are important leaps forward in the development of our relations ,” Gobash told the AA.

“The UAE and Turkey are active and influential members of the regional and international working system,” he added.

“The special relationship between the two countries plays an important role in laying the groundwork for promoting peace and regional economic development,” he said.

Gorbash emphasized that “the current international and regional situation requires more dialogue, cooperation and understanding to enhance trust and put forward diverse perspectives on issues of common concern.”

“There are good opportunities for our two countries to deepen cooperation in areas such as technology, renewable energy, culture and tourism,” he added.

He also noted that “Turkey’s active participation in Expo 2020 Dubai reflects the importance of building bridges of cooperation between our two countries.”

“This certainly applies to the parliamentary relationship between the Federal National Assembly and the Turkish Grand National Assembly,” he added.

Ghobash affirmed that “Turkey and the UAE can develop relations at the parliamentary level by increasing the scope of parliamentary visits at the presidential and friendship committee levels.”
