UAE Vice President Mohammed bin Rashid visits SeaWorld Yas Island

Abu Dhabi [UAE]12th July (ANI/WAM): Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, today visited Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island Marine World, the first A sea life theme park and the first SeaWorld park outside the United States. During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was briefed on the facilities of the large education and entertainment complex, which is an important addition to the UAE’s tourist attractions.

Commenting on the visit, His Highness highlighted the country’s world-class infrastructure developed through strong public-private partnerships, which contribute to enhancing the UAE’s appeal as a leading global tourist destination. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was also briefed on the diverse educational and entertainment experiences in the theme park’s eight zones, which include marine habitats from around the world, from the frozen polar regions to the tropics. SeaWorld Yas Island spans 183,000 square meters across five floors.

His Highness also learned about SeaWorld Yas Island’s role in the conservation of marine life through its Research and Rescue Centre, the first facility of its kind in the region dedicated to marine life rescue and recovery. The center supports the UAE’s commitment to protecting the marine environment and biodiversity. During his tour, Sheikh Mohammed visited the largest water basin of its kind in the world, containing approximately 25 million liters of water and home to approximately 68,000 different marine species. He also visited World Abu Dhabi within SeaWorld Yas Island, where visitors can get a glimpse of the essence of marine life in the waters of the Gulf and the maritime heritage of the UAE and the region.

Yas Island SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is the latest addition to the entertainment destination on Yas Island, developed by Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences, in partnership with SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, a global leader in theme parks and entertainment .
