UAE tourists holding a 30-day or 60-day visit visa can extend their stay in the UAE by a further 30 days. The decision of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) grants tourists an additional 30 days to explore and enjoy the various offerings of the country.
The UAE has introduced several changes to its visa process since last October, marking one of the largest residency and entry permit reforms undertaken by the ICP (Immigration and Citizenship Programme). Since then, there have been some changes in the country’s visitor visa regime.
According to the ICA website, individuals holding a 30-day or 60-day visitor visa are now eligible to stay an additional 30 days, with a maximum extension period of 120 days for visitor visa holders.
A call center representative at Amer Center said visitor visas can be extended within the country and “must contact their visa issuing authority to do so.”
