Winter in the UAE is over. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) announced Tuesday that temperatures will rise in May.

“This month marks the first transition period … between winter and summer,” the NCM said, referring to the period as “spring.”

As temperatures rise across much of the country, the hours of the day will gradually increase.

Average temperatures range between 30.5°C and 33.5°C, with a high of 40.7°C and a low of 24°C.

There will also be increased cloud cover and a chance of rain. Humidity is lower in May compared to April, especially in the second half of the year. There is also a high chance of fog throughout the month.

Dusty and cloudy weather is expected for the next four days. Winds of up to 59 km/h will kick up dust that will reduce horizontal visibility in parts on Wednesday and Thursday, according to the NCM’s five-day forecast.
