A woman has filed a lawsuit seeking Dh50,000 against her doctor, who claims the doctor posted a video of her labor operation on Instagram without her consent. The Al Ain Court of First Instance dismissed her lawsuit.
The woman filed a lawsuit against the hospital, demanding that the doctor, the hospital, and the doctor jointly pay the requested compensation. She said she is seeking compensation for the emotional and material damage she suffered after doctors released the video of her giving birth.
The court said the complainant did not provide sufficient evidence and documents to show that the doctors and the hospital were at fault.
It explained that the complainant provided no evidence that the photos belonged to her or that they existed. The court decided to dismiss the case and ordered the plaintiff to pay the defendant’s legal costs.
