Original: It is with pride and honor that we witness the 51st anniversary of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates, thanks in large part to its leadership, its faithful people and the great achievements of the UAE over the past 50 years.

The past year’s miraculous achievements in the field of development coincided with the unprecedented success of the UAE, which not only has the ability to host international events, but also successfully hosted the 2020 World Expo. and leading companies.

Celebrations in the UAE this year were held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President/Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai The Supreme Council, held under the visionary leadership of His Highness and trusted members, adopted the “50 Principles” as ten principles to guide all institutions in the UAE as the country enters a new phase of growth and development over the next 50 years.

The economic strategy adopted by the UAE stimulates diversification of the economy away from oil and is committed to building an economy based on knowledge and diversity, underpinned by scientific and technological advancements and powered by investments in the digital and circular economy and foundation-based sectors Artificial intelligence and the fourth industrial revolution.

The UAE believes that the future of regional security depends on strong multilateral partnerships and a shared commitment to achieving stability and prosperity through peaceful political and economic means. The CEPA will continue to pave the way for greater opportunities for the people of the region, opening the way for significant economic development in the Middle East, accelerating and enhancing cross-border trade, and improving the ease of doing business across the region, as well as in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America and other markets.

The United Arab Emirates has emerged as a major trading hub, aware of the need for prosperity and the free flow of goods and services as fundamental principles of any modern, peaceful and forward-looking state, and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement is the latest move in this regard.

The UAE has made notable progress in all areas of combating money laundering and terrorist financing, including FATF priorities such as risk assessment, international cooperation and confiscation of proceeds of crime.

The UAE will continue to pursue a foreign policy aimed at building common interests among countries in the region to promote peace, stability, prosperity and the well-being of its people. The UAE firmly believes that more polarization and confrontation cannot be tolerated in the region, and that more exchanges, integration and cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, technology, health and food are needed in the coming decades.

The UAE has been working on strengthening international partnerships over the past five years and is making steady progress, despite global political, security, economic and health changes, the UAE’s relations with all countries are characterized by continuity, moderation, diplomacy and wisdom on the ground and use this to find common ground to find solutions to regional and international challenges and conflicts.

The UAE has deep and distinguished relations with all nations, which reinforce and reflect its principles based on openness, partnership, building bridges, working to consolidate peace and the common good of nations and peoples, thereby contributing to international peace and security.

The UAE believes that the times ahead require a focus on dialogue, cooperation and building bridges to concretize innovative and lasting solutions to the challenges of the times, principles that have charted the way for the UAE since its inception, affirming that we must promote a culture of tolerance, openness, Empowering women, modernity and rationality, which do not conflict with the Islamic values ​​of tolerance, the UAE will continue to oppose extremist ideologies and those who use violence to achieve their political goals.

As the home of more than 200 nationalities from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, the UAE is firmly committed to safeguarding human rights and has made steady progress in this field. Over the years, the UAE has signed a number of human rights treaties and was In January 2021, for the third time in the UAE’s history, it was granted membership of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2022-2024 term.

A knowledge-based economy, creativity and innovation are seen as drivers of the development and competitiveness of a highly advanced and capable science and technology sector and are an integral part of the UAE’s foreign policy for several reasons, UAE foreign policy plays an important role in developing the sector, the most important of which is knowledge transfer.

The UAE has launched its space program and has successfully transferred knowledge and expertise in this field in cooperation with engineers and scientists from different countries based on transparency, responsible behavior and building trust. This has played an important role in building the space sector and has helped boost the technology sector across the UAE. Over the next 50 years, the UAE will stand out as a pioneering nation in key areas such as sustainable energy development, scientific and technological innovation, and international aid and development.

The United Arab Emirates is committed to international aid based on the principles of humanity and solidarity, stating, “The UAE’s foreign humanitarian aid is central to its vision and moral responsibility to less fortunate peoples. Our foreign humanitarian aid has nothing to do with religion, race, Color or culture. Political differences with any country should not be a reason for failing to provide relief to that country in times of disaster, emergency and crisis.”

For more than 50 years, from 1971 to 2021, the UAE has provided foreign aid worth 322 billion dirhams, 90.9% of the UAE’s aid was allocated to development aid, worth 292.45 billion dirhams; 7.4% was used for humanitarian aid, Worth 23.68 billion dirhams; 1.7% for charitable support, worth 5.57 billion dirhams, the geographic area of ​​UAE aid has expanded to more than 175 countries and geographic areas around the world, including 50 least developed countries.

This year, the fraternal people of Pakistan have faced territorial rains and devastating floods caused by global climate change, claiming more than 1,700 precious lives, destroying lives, livestock and land.

As the UAE’s wise leadership remains first in times of national crisis and natural disasters, providing aid and humanitarian support to the brotherly people of Pakistan in times of need, it remains the largest provider of relief assistance to flood victims.

Following the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, a humanitarian aid air bridge was established carrying 57 flights to Pakistan and 205 containers arriving in Pakistan, carrying There are thousands of tons of food, medical kits and various shelter materials, in addition to UAE NGOs such as the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and other charitable organizations are still working on site to provide victims of the catastrophic floods Rescue and relief assistance.
