The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has won the LinkedIn Learning Talent Award for 2022 in the Middle East and North Africa region in the ‘Learning Champions – UAE Public Sector’ category. The award recognizes DEWA’s success in equipping all employees with the right skills for employment needs according to the latest and best global standards.
“We are committed to using all capabilities to train and unlock human potential so that they can keep pace with development and improve government work in Dubai,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
“We are also proactive in ensuring continuous development, upskilling our workforce, promoting positive values and a culture of innovation and continuous learning. DEWA has a comprehensive knowledge management policy in place to prioritize investment and encourage innovation. The LinkedIn Learning platform is a strategic partner in enhancing DEWA’s leadership and excellence and underpins its efforts to encourage employees to engage in self-study programs and courses to enrich their knowledge and enhance their capabilities in various fields.
From 2017 to 2022, the number of completed courses will reach 110,086, and the viewing time will reach 132,680 hours. DEWA provides multiple internal platforms to transfer and localize knowledge, including 6 Knowledge Hubs, DEWA Smart Library, Ma’Rifa (Knowledge) Collaboration Platform, Share an Hour Program, Knowledge Days and Knowledge Day Communities of Practice (CoP). — WAM
