[ad_1]

UAE – UAE-based Hotdesk, the global on-demand workspace booking platform, has acquired Spain-based coworking app YADO in line with its European expansion plans, according to a press release.

The deal comes within the framework of a series of key announcements in 2023 as Hotdesk seeks to strengthen its presence in the west.

The acquisition will also enable the Dubai-based company to expand its footprint in key global markets and facilitate its hyperlocal experience for users.

In its first few months of operation, Hotdesk registered 15 bookings, which has grown to more than 10,000 monthly bookings within a year of its inception.

The Barcelona-born app has been operating since 2019 and has more than 100 coworking spaces in major Spanish cities, including Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Granada, Malaga and Biel Bao.

Mohamed Khaled, co-founder and CEO of Hotdesk, said: “Spain has a high adoption rate of the co-working scene and hybrid working, with a range of young professionals ranging from freelancers to creatives, SMEs to agile businesses.”

Khaled added: “Our core focus will be to infuse hyperlocal Spanish DNA into our games, especially with an eye toward the growth potential of Spain and other Spanish-speaking markets as we grow globally.”

Anna and Cris, co-founders of YADO, said: “Remote work is the future and it’s a really interesting time to join forces with an international company like Hotdesk, especially to help expand our reach across Europe.”

The co-founders concluded: “The market has changed dramatically over the past few years, and flexible working options are now more in demand than ever before.”
