Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad AlQasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the 12th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2023) is scheduled for September 13-14 at Expo Centre Sharjah, as announced by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB).
Themed ‘Today’s Resources, Tomorrow’s Wealth,’ the forum will gather thought leaders, experts, and thinkers in government communication from both local and international levels.
The two-day event will emphasize effective management and optimization of natural and manmade resources as drivers of success and sustainable global development.
Organized by the International Government Communication Centre (IGCC), an initiative of SGMB, the 12th edition will delve into investing in future resources and the shift from possessing natural resources to real wealth.
The forum will examine government communication’s role in redefining existing and emerging assets across four main axes: natural resources, non-material resources encompassing culture, arts, and sports, technology and data (the wealth of the era), and future wealth.
Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of SGMB, highlighted that IGCF 2023 aims to present innovative communication strategies to address economic, climate, social, and political challenges.
The forum will showcase advancements in communication sciences and the potential for impactful communication in achieving radical transformations worldwide.
The discussions at IGCF 2023 will cover topics like optimizing investment in natural resources, combating desertification, clean energy, non-material wealth such as human capital and cultural heritage, cutting-edge technologies like AI and IoT, and emerging wealth sectors like space, genomics, and blockchain.
The event serves as a platform to envision potential future wealth and how nations can harness its opportunities.
