Udrive and RTA launch exclusive branded fleet to and from Hatta

Udrive, a dedicated meter-by-the-minute car rental platform, has launched a dedicated fleet to allow residents and tourists to travel more seamlessly to and from Hatta to explore the leisure and natural attractions of Dubai Heights.

The product was launched in partnership with Dubai’s RTA and Dubai Holding to bring unique and exclusive offers to the community.

Hatta products are in line with ‘World’s Coolest Winter’, the UAE’s visionary tourism campaign, which aims to support domestic tourism in the UAE while attracting global visitors by highlighting the country’s most famous leisure, cultural and natural landmarks. Last year, the campaign boosted domestic tourism by 36 percent to 1.3 million visitors.

Transportation System

By facilitating smoother traffic between Dubai and Hatta, Udrive and RTA are providing a reliable and convenient transportation system for explorers.

Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development, RTA Public Transport Authority, said: “RTA’s strategic focus on providing an integrated transport network between Dubai and Hatta will continue to strengthen its position as a major tourist destination. With the tourist season in full swing , we have aligned with key strategic partners such as Udrive to provide seamless travel for UAE tourists and residents who are looking for special places to spend quality time.”

In a market where increasing vehicle supply has been Udrive’s main focus for its avid customer base, the homegrown startup is continuing to diversify its fleet and increase the availability of car-sharing in the UAE. Each car-sharing vehicle charged by the minute is used three to five times in a day, and Udrive also supports the Dubai 2040 urban plan, which aims to build a 20-minute city by reducing inter-city traffic pressure and improving commuters across the UAE. connectivity. The startup has nearly 1,000 vehicles in its fleet in the UAE and recently expanded to Saudi Arabia as well. Since its launch in 2016, there have been 380,000 registered users and a total of 2 million trips.

Hatta Fleet has been activated and mileage allowances have been increased within the Udrive platform to provide affordable mobility solutions to and from destinations. Users will be able to book one of the dedicated cars to travel in comfort to and/or from Dubai Heights, while having the flexibility to use the car to explore some of the best attractions within Hatta. Currently, the product is available to Udrive customers in Dubai, with plans to expand it to other Emirates.

Team Hatta’s branding stands out from other Udrive vehicles. In these cars, drivers can travel 350 kilometers on the first day (compared to Udrive’s daily fleet limit of 100 kilometers per journey), which can be extended by up to two days. The fleet has launched a spacious Mitsubishi Pajero SUV so users can enjoy comfortable road trips with family and friends.
