Dubai: Heading outdoors? Don’t forget to bring an umbrella as it is raining in parts of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. More rain is expected across the country today, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) daily forecast says that the weather will be cloudy to cloudy in some areas, especially the coastal, northern and eastern areas may experience rainfall of varying intensities, and the temperature will drop.
The Bureau of Meteorology reported light rain this morning over Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, Sweihan-Nahil Road in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi International Airport in Abu Dhabi.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully as the rain has made roads slippery.
Maximum temperatures in the interior of the country are expected to be between 24 and 28°C. Temperatures will reach 23 to 27°C in coastal areas and islands, and 12 to 18°C in mountains.
Yesterday at 12 noon in Ras Al Khaimah, the Jais Mountain recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5°C.
Al Mirfa in the Al Dhafrah district recorded a maximum temperature of 30.1°C at 2.30pm.
We’re expecting moderate to fresh winds, sometimes strong winds of 15-25 km/h from southeast to northeast, sometimes reaching 40 km/h.
Moderate to rough seas at times due to cloud activity in the Arabian Gulf and cloud activity in the Sea of Oman.
