United Arab Emirates: Sheikh Mohammed approves Hatta master development plan-News

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, as the Ruler of Dubai, approved the Hatha Master Development Plan, which was launched earlier this year in the Dubai 2040 City Master Plan The component formulates a roadmap to strengthen infrastructure and implement a series of development projects and initiatives throughout the emirate in the next 20 years.

As As part of a plan to promote economic and social growth, enhance environmental sustainability, and improve the living standards and well-being of the people in the region, Hada’s development projects are progressing rapidly.

“Today, we announced the launch of the Hatta Master Development Plan, which includes a series of ambitious development projects to meet the needs of Hatta and its residents. These initiatives cover four key strategic pillars: well-being, tourism, sports and activities, and sustainability. They will be implemented as part of the initial five-year development plan. We have approved the establishment of a supreme committee to oversee the development of Hatta and the implementation and governance of projects and initiatives, the launch of economic and tourism development plans, and support for youth-sponsored projects It will also launch the Hatta Beach project and create new investment opportunities for Hatta’s private sector,” said His Highness.

The speech of the ruler of Dubai was delivered during his visit to Hada accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Committee; Deputy Ruler and Deputy of Dubai Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council Le Maktoum; Sheikh Mansour bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi.

On arrival, Sheikh Mohamed was received by the Director-General of the Road and Transport Administration, Chairman of the Executive Board, Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Welfare Rail Commissioner and Chairman, His Excellency Matar Mohamed Al Thayer. The Supreme Council of Urban Planning.

During the visit, the ruler of Dubai reviewed a series of Hatta development projects and initiatives and met with a group of young business leaders living in Hatta.

“The team will soon begin a series of projects and initiatives. Our partners in the private sector will play a key role in driving investment to create promising employment prospects in Hatta. Our goal is to make citizens happier, support youth and Benefit from their capabilities and innovative ideas to promote the development of Hatta and release the real social and economic potential of the area. He expressed his belief that young people have the ability to support Hatta’s development momentum and called on them to propose breakthrough creative projects that can promote the development of the region.

Supreme Council

The Supreme Council established to oversee the development of Hatta will launch initiatives and projects in cooperation with the private sector. Within the larger framework of strengthening sustainable development, the committee will formulate plans to protect the Hatta environment, mountain ecosystems and cultural heritage. Committee members will include representatives from government entities and developers.

The plan plans the development of the region over the next 20 years and aims to promote well-being, create investment opportunities for its people, support domestic tourism, attract investment and promote public-private partnerships (PPP). The main goals of the plan include protecting the region’s heritage and natural environment, encouraging mountain tourism and sports, and transforming Hatta into a year-round tourist destination that is in line with the world’s coolest winter sports.

The plan also seeks to improve public facilities and services for Hatta residents and tourists, and develop a sustainable transportation system, including the Dubai-Hatta direct bus service, which allows passengers to bring bicycles and scooters on board.

The transportation plan also envisages cooperating with the private sector to provide ride-sharing services and deploying tourist buses to the Wadi Junction, Hatta Dam, Heritage Village, and Altar Park. It also includes the provision of on-demand bus services and smart car rental services that use smart apps to explore Hada, enabling cars to be rented by the hour.

In addition, the master development plan includes a five-year plan (2022-2026) to build bicycle and scooter tracks in a 120-kilometer network connecting major attractions and residential areas. It also includes the construction of the longest mountain bike trail in the UAE, which has world-class specifications and will host international competitions and events. During the meeting with the Hatta youth, Sheikh Mohammed listened to briefings on local initiatives and projects initiated by the youth, such as in the hotel industry. He also initiated the Local Agricultural Experience Program, a tourism and economic program that focuses on improving Hada’s agricultural system and supporting farmers to achieve food and economic self-sufficiency by selling agricultural products and food to tourists.

Hatta Beach

The Hatta Beach project aims to transform the area into a year-round tourist destination. The project will create investment space and facilities, services and activities for tourists in the coastal area, which will help increase the flow of tourists to Hatta.

Sustainable facilities

Hatta’s overall development plan includes the development of sustainable hotels, providing a variety of services to community members and supporting tourism and sports activities. A mountainside health resort will be built to provide visitors with sports and activities suitable for the terrain of Hada. The plan also includes the development of a tourist cable car system, which is the first such system in the area to facilitate visitors to the dam site. A staircase with a unique modern architectural design will be constructed to strengthen the passage to the dam, with several rest stops along the way. These measures may enhance Hada’s tourism image and competitiveness. The project is expected to attract one million riders each year.
