US Police Kill Driver at Chinese Consulate Crash.

US police fatally shot a driver whose vehicle crashed into the Chinese consulate in San Francisco on Monday. Unverified social media footage depicted officers with weapons pointed at the driver’s door while people rushed downstairs.

The consulate’s spokesperson stated that the driver posed a serious threat, causing significant damage. Sergeant Kathryn Winters of the San Francisco Police Department confirmed an officer-involved shooting, and despite efforts to save the suspect, they were pronounced dead later at the hospital.

The suspect’s identity remains undisclosed. An investigation is ongoing in collaboration with the US State Department. The consulate strongly condemns the attack and seeks accountability. San Francisco has a significant ethnic Chinese population.
