Vaccinated UAE travelers will soon be exempt from UK quarantine

[ad_1]

The British ministers confirmed the news…

British ministers revealed that fully vaccinated travelers from the UAE will be exempted from British quarantine as early as October 4. This is part of the UK’s plan to open up to travelers from other countries, provided that these people have been fully vaccinated.

On Saturday, September 19, James Cleverly, Minister of Middle East and North Africa Affairs of the Office of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development Office, said on Twitter: “I am very pleased that international travel is opening. We are finalizing arrangements with the UAE to include their nationals and residents in our A plan that will be open to people from other countries who are fully vaccinated from October 4.”

Grant Sharps stated that travelers need to receive “authorized and approved” dual vaccination. Currently, the approved vaccines on the UK list are: AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Janssen. Currently, Sinopharm’s vaccines are not accepted.

Previously, the Secretary of Transport of the United Kingdom, Grant Sharps, announced on Friday, September 18, that the British traffic signal system (put the country in the green, amber or red category) would be cancelled and replaced by red with only specific rules. The list is about mandatory quarantine and vaccination in each country.

On Twitter, Sharps said: “We are making travel testing easier. Starting from Monday, October 4th, if you are a full vax, you do not need to perform a pre-departure test before arriving in England from a non-red country. Starting in late October, you will be able to use a cheaper PCR test instead of the second day The PCR test flows laterally. “

Currently, travelers from the UAE (regardless of whether you are fully vaccinated) arriving in the UK must undergo a mandatory 10-day home quarantine on the second and eighth days and undergo PCR testing, or individuals can pay for the fifth day Test to release the’PCR test, which means that if you receive a negative test result, you can lift the home quarantine early.

The UK also announced that Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Oman, Bangladesh and Kenya will be removed from the UK’s red list starting on September 22.
