Abu Dhabi has been experiencing light to heavy rain since the early hours of Monday.
The incessant downpour has knocked the temperature down a few notches.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said the country’s weather could see fluctuations for four days from Sunday to Wednesday.
There may be continuous rainfall of varying degrees across the country, occasional lightning and thunder in some areas, and the temperature has dropped.
Dhafra area, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi experienced light rain.
Abu Dhabi Police issued a weather warning, reminding drivers to be careful due to the rainy weather and to obey the shifting speeds displayed on electronic signs.
The NCM also explained that the region will be affected by the extension of the low surface pressure system from the east along with the extension of the weak upper-level low pressure system.
Tuesday and Wednesday will continue to be partly cloudy to cloudy with some cumulus clouds associated with varying degrees of rain in scattered areas. Light to moderate northeasterly to southwesterly winds, sometimes refreshing, especially when clouds form, 15 – 35 to 40 km/h. Seas in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are calm and cloudy at times.
