VIDEO: Titanic, stunning ‘extraordinary colors’ never seen before | World News

[ad_1]

New footage showing the wreck of the RMS Titanic in full 8K quality with unprecedented levels of detail and color has been released. Video of the 110-year-old shipwreck 2.4 miles below the surface of the North Atlantic was captured by OceanGate Expeditions.

Stockton Rush, president of OceanGate Expeditions, said: “As we capture new footage in 2023 and beyond, the amazing detail in the 8K footage will help our team of scientists and marine archaeologists more accurately characterize the Titanic’s decay.”

What’s more striking are the “extraordinary colors,” he added.

The video also shows various parts of the Titanic as it decays.

“Our science team will review any changes to 8K, 4K and other footage captured during the 2022 Titanic expedition,” he added.

The Titanic sank after hitting an iceberg on the night of April 15, 1912. Many expeditions attempted to map the seabed in hopes of finding the ship, but were unsuccessful. The wreck is located in 1985. Since then, it has been the center of intense attention and has been visited by many expeditions.
