Senior Russian officials are actively discussing Vladimir Putin’s successor, the head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Service reportedly said. Major General Kirillo Budanov has claimed that Vladimir Putin is unlikely to remain in power until the end of the war in Ukraine, The Mirror reported.
The report added that discussions were already under way to remove Vladimir Putin from power.

“It is unlikely that he will survive. Currently, Russia is actively discussing who will succeed him,” Major General Kerilo Budanov said.
As Russia continues to suffer setbacks on the Ukrainian battlefield, Major General Budanov said Kyiv aims to retake Kherson by the end of November, adding that Ukraine will even try to retake Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014.
Ukraine recently launched a counter-offensive eastward as Russian troops retreated from the city of Kherson.
