These foreigners—mainly from China, the Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Egypt, Syria, the UAE and the United Kingdom—experienced sadya for the first time during outings with colleagues belonging to the state. By the way, foreigners try to taste sadya with a spoon, then give up trying and use their hands instead.
“Later, many of these foreigners brought people from their countries to seek sadya,” says Nibu Sam Philip, Aachi’s restaurant partner.
