Best men include military, civilians and sons of martyrs; celebrations coincide with 47th anniversary of UAE Armed Forces unity
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Khalid bin Abu Dhabi, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council His Highness Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the second collective wedding of Ministry of Defense employees, with 500 best men.
They include the sons of soldiers, civilians and martyrs.
The mass wedding, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), coincides with the Ministry of Defense’s celebration of the 47th anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces, in line with the leadership’s aim to support UAE youth and further enhance family stability.
Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed congratulated the couple and their families, wishing them happiness and prosperity in their married life. He urged them to build strong, cohesive families, which is the cornerstone of the country’s progress, and assured them that the UAE leadership is committed to supporting the UAE in helping to build a cohesive, well-connected society.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces; Matar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, Deputy Minister of Defence; Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces; Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan , Executive Director of the Office of Families of Martyrs; Senior Defense Department Officials and Families of the Groom.
