WATCH: Early morning showers greet UAE residents – News


Residents rejoiced as the skies poured down on Saturday morning as they shared images of the rain

The UAE woke up to light rain this morning as the National Meteorological Center predicted rain was likely.

The storm center shared video of the rainfall in several parts of the country.

The video below shows wet roads in Dubai as light rain pours down. Overcast skies and the gleaming Burj Khalifa can be seen on a rainy day.

Residents of Dubai shared images of the rain on Saturday morning as they rejoiced at the downpour in the sky.

The page also shares a video of water flowing in the Al Dhafra valley in Abu Dhabi. The wind can be heard blowing at high speed as the murky water gushes out of the valley.

The National Meteorological Center also reported rain in parts of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.

Rain in Fujairah early this morning. A video from the center of the storm showed rain falling on the windshield of a car in Dibba. Cars can be seen driving down the road in poor visibility as wipers try to scrape water off the windshield.

Some food delivery apps also display messages that deliveries may be delayed due to unstable weather conditions.
