DUBAI: Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi continued to share his insightful experience aboard the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday, sharing a picture of “green” Abu Dhabi from space.
Aerial images taken from more than 400km above Earth show the country’s capital in lush green.
“Here is our beloved homeland, the heart of the UAE. A city with a vibrant present and a hopeful future… our nation’s capital #AbuDhabi,” Al Neyadi posted on his social media this picture.
The Emirati astronaut on the longest Arab space mission aboard the International Space Station has been taking stunning photos of various locations on Earth with his camera.
Last week, he shared an incredible photo of Morocco and praised the beauty of the country.
“You can’t walk through Morocco without being amazed by its beauty. al-Qarawiyyin is home to the first and oldest university, as well as stunning landscapes, architecture and history, and here I captured the beauty of the capital Rabat and its Bou Regreg River,” he said in the post.
Other images Al Neyadi has previously shared include day and night views of the UAE, an aerial view of his hometown of Al Ain, and a “starry sky” photo of Dubai at night with roads and landmarks illuminated.
