Residents of the UAE have been enjoying relatively cool weather as Rain has soaked several parts of the country the whole weekend. Mother Nature had a downpour of rain on Saturday, along with lightning and thunderstorms.

It will continue to rain in some parts of the country, but the public should pay attention to lightning protection. The UAE National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reported heavy rain in Abu Dhabi since Sunday morning. In Dubai, light rain occurred in the Mina Jebel Ali area.

The Metropolitan Department recorded moderate to heavy rain in Ghana, accompanied by lightning and thunder. Al Bahia also experiences light to average rainfall. Videos of rain falling at Abu Dhabi International Airport have flooded social media platforms. However, there have been no reports of flight disruptions due to the weather.

The intensity of the rainfall has flooded major streets, neighborhoods and valleys in these areas. Citizens and expatriates have been urged to stay away from flooded areas and valleys.
