Tom Cruise and the ‘Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning’ team toured major Abu Dhabi landmarks during the film’s Middle East premiere in the UAE capital.
A video shared by the Abu Dhabi media office shows details of the team’s three-day tour of the capital.
Tom Cruise arrived at the new Midfield Terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport on his first flight, before heading to the iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi for photo ops, interviews and a museum tour.
Co-stars Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff, along with director Christopher McQuarrie, toured the new terminal in person, meeting the press and taking photos to showcase the airport’s stunning architecture .
The premiere moved to the Mandarin Oriental at the Emirates Palace, where the stars hit the red carpet to meet waves of Mission: Impossible fans. Interviewed on the red carpet ahead of the film and speaking at the Emirates Palace Auditorium, Cruise, Peggy, Atwell, Klementieff and McQuarrie expressed their gratitude to Abu Dhabi for hosting the series again, and highlighted the incredible experiences they had during the screening of the film. The cast then enjoyed a special experience hosted by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, witnessing the rich Emirati culture.
The highly anticipated seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible series will be filmed over 15 days in 2021 at the Midfield Terminal and the Liwa Desert, with the full support of the Abu Dhabi Film Commission (ADFC), part of the Creative Media Authority support.
