On Tuesday, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met representatives of Sharjah FC, which recently won the UAE Presidents Cup for the tenth time in the team’s history.
During the meeting at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed congratulated the team’s players, technical and administrative staff, as well as Emirati fans.
He wished the team further success locally and internationally, and praised their winning performance in the cup final.
The Sharjah FC delegation expressed its delight at being invited to meet the President and thanked him for supporting the UAE’s sports sector and athletes and inspiring them and the people of the country to continue striving for further sporting achievements.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency; Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Yaed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Regional Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in Al Ain; Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Sharjah FC delegation was accompanied by some sheikhs and officials.
