Wedding Tragedy: 1 Dead, 30 Hospitalized in Philippines Party

A joyous occasion turned into a nightmare at a recent wedding reception in the Philippines’ Misamis Oriental province. One person died, and 30 others were rushed to the hospital, suffering from vomiting, diarrhea, and stomachaches, as reported by a local media outlet.

The GMA News report stated that the victims began falling ill days after the celebration. Despite the incident, the couple’s families refuted claims that the food they served was responsible, asserting that it was prepared with proper hygiene standards.

Health authorities in the province are currently investigating the matter, analyzing the results of the victims’ medical tests. Additionally, they will examine the water consumed by the attendees, according to the report.
