The 8th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) invites interested participants to register on the summit website to participate in the activities, workshops, panel discussions and youth circles held during the event.
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) and World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO) will organise WGES at Dubai World Trade on 28-29 September 2022 under the auspices of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai center.
WGES annually attracts local and international figures, including presidents and government leaders, as well as a number of global leaders and influencers, speakers, officials, government agencies and media representatives, experts and academicians.
“WGES is an important global platform designed to strengthen partnerships and exchange experiences among the most prominent decision-makers, and to support collaboration between regional and global institutions and organizations in the public and private sectors. This year’s WGES is particularly important, As the UAE prepares to host the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai Expo City in 2023,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman, Dubai Supreme Energy Council Chairman, Dewa Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Officer and Chairman of the World Green Economy Summit.
The World Green Economy Summit will seek to discuss the path to a brighter future where businesses rely on renewable energy, cities rethink waste handling and transport, and work with communities and individuals to offset the worst of food and water insecurity influences.
The summit regularly organizes youth circles to engage them in sustainable development and the green economy before entering the job market.
