[ad_1]

Delivery riders make our lives so much easier, don’t you agree? After all, they can deliver everything from hot meals to knick-knacks and even gizmos right to our doorstep. This in turn frees us from the hassle of running errands ourselves. But can you imagine the challenges they face along the way? Well, keeping that in mind, the Abu Dhabi Municipality and Department of Transport is planning to do something for delivery riders. Here’s everything you need to know about the Delivery Rider Center pilot presentation.

Delivery rider center pilot program to go live this September

According to Gulf News, the Ministry of Municipalities and Transport has announced its decision to introduce a pilot project for “Delivery Rider Centres”. The project is expected to be implemented in Abu Dhabi this September and will be developed in cooperation with Abu Dhabi government entities. Not to mention, the private sector and nonprofits are also part of DMT’s efforts to raise the city’s public image. In addition, the project aims to provide a suitable working environment for delivery motorcycle riders.

According to reports, the project aims to provide a suitable working environment by providing safe spaces with shaded waiting areas, comfortable seating with air conditioning, and drinking water facilities. These regulations will especially help improve their working conditions during the harsh summer months. The move comes after several interviews with delivery riders revealed some of the main issues and challenges they face on the job, and these new wheels have been designed in such a way that they can be easily produced and assembled. Not to mention, they can accommodate up to 15 people at a time, and the program will also keep drivers safe. Thereby, the problem of vehicles occupying sidewalks is also solved.

So, provide a better working environment for delivery riders with this initiative, which aims to showcase the UAE’s status as a smart and inclusive city for all
