That price tag can be hard to justify if you’re already paying for other services that offer similar packages. But once I figured out how to use it, I was impressed with Hulu+ Live TV and how it was a one-stop shop for all your streaming needs.
The biggest takeaway is that I never have to venture outside of Hulu+ Live TV for my streaming needs. Sure, I occasionally visit Showtime and Netflix for original content, but as far as accessibility goes, they have it all.
I’m used to watching shows like this American idol The day after the episode aired. But with Hulu+ Live TV, I can choose to watch the installment live or DVR to stream later that night. With the basic Hulu plan, I cannot access some of the networks included in Hulu+ Live TV, such as Bravo. (Hello, Vanderpump rule.)
In the past, I’ve been disappointed by how limited other streaming content has been. For example, Peacock is owned by NBC and only offers NBC related content. So if you want to see amazing game, you need an additional subscription to Paramount+. The list goes on.
Fortunately, that’s not the case with Hulu+ Live TV.Feels like I’m watching cable TV — not a streaming service — as it offers live TV, on-demand content and DVR. The only downside is that it took me a whole day to understand the user experience. (I made the mistake of accessing it first on my computer and then on my TV, the interface was slightly different.) But once I got the hang of it, it was smooth to sail stream media.
Yes, it is expensive. However, if you compare the prices to regular cable TV plans, you’ll realize the benefits of Hulu+ Live TV. Now that I’ve tried it, I don’t think I’ll ever go back.
