Wipro launches Capco financial services in Middle East

Wipro Limited, a leading technology services and advisory company, has announced the launch of a new Middle East Financial Services Advisory feature.

Capco, a Wipro company, will provide financial services companies in the Middle East with strategic management and technology consulting capabilities to realize their transformation, digitalization and business integration plans.

Regional macroeconomic trends, including the diversification of the petrodollar economy, are driving significant investment in financial services, with a focus on digital innovation, neo-banking, post-merger integration and core mass transformation.

Against this changing backdrop, consulting spending in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region will reach USD 3.3 billion in 2022 – of which financial services will account for about 30% – and is expected to grow by 30% year-on-year in the near term. With expertise in transformation programs for Tier 1 financial institutions, Capco is well positioned to capitalize on growth opportunities in the region.

The new advisory capability will be led by Naim Alame as its Middle East managing partner. He joins from Accenture Middle East, where he has extensive experience in financial services, delivering digital and core transformation programs for top banks in the region.
