Fayazbad [Afghanistan]March 9 (ANI): An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 struck on Thursday 285 km east-northeast of Faizabad, Afghanistan, according to the National Center of Seismology (NCS).

Also yesterday, a magnitude 4.2 hit the country at 1.40am. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 136 km at 65.91 degrees longitude and 34.53 degrees latitude.

Another 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit Afghanistan’s Faizabad region at 2:35 am on March 2. According to the National Seismological Center (NCS), the quake occurred at a latitude of 37.73 degrees and a longitude of 73.47 degrees at a depth of 245 kilometers.

The National Earthquake Center said in a tweet, “Earthquake Magnitude: 4.1, Occurred on 02-03-2023, 02:35:57 IST, Latitude: 37.73, Longitude: 73.47, Depth: 245 km, Location: 267 km ENE Afghanistan Law Zabad.” (Arnie)
