The quake, which struck at 11.12am on Saturday, was a magnitude 4.5. The depth of the earthquake was 178 kilometers, and the epicenter was 28 kilometers away from Kathmandu, Nepal.

An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck 10 km northwest of Kathmandu, Nepal, at 3:04 am (IST) earlier today, the National Center of Seismology (NCS) said.
According to the NCS, the quake occurred at a depth of 25 kilometers.
“Mg: 3.5, Occurred 01-04-2023, 03:04:30 IST, Latitude: 27.78, Longitude: 85.25, Depth: 25km, Location: 10km NW of Kathmandu, Nepal,” NCS tweeted.
In early February, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Nepal.
The Nepal National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center (NEMRC) said in a tweet that the quake occurred near Bichhiya, Bajura district at 13:45 local time (local time) on February 22.
