washington [US]March 18 (ANI): U.S. President Joe Biden met Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar at the White House on Friday and spoke in support of the Windsor framework, with the U.K. and EU reaching a post-Brexit deal on Feb. 27 Northern Ireland’s trade rules, according to CNN.

“I agree with the speaker. There’s no reason we can’t find common ground,” the president said at the lunch, adding, “There’s no reason we wouldn’t want to change the extreme direction that both sides are pushing  … I think that’s really important, and that’s the strength of friendship. I think that’s the strength of our partnership if we work hard, and I think that’s the strength of the Irish, simply put.”

On Friday night, the White House will again host Varadkar’s Clover Lecture and Reception, where former One Direction star Niall Horan will also perform.
