Quetta, Dec. 10 (PTI) One person was killed and seven others were injured in a bomb blast at a shopping mall in Pakistan’s restive Baluchistan province on Saturday, police said.
Bomb squads have found evidence a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) was used in the “terrorist attack” in the Avalan district, a senior police officer said.
“The injured included women and children. Some were in critical condition,” he said.
One person was killed in the incident and seven injured have been transferred to the district headquarters hospital, the official said.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo condemned the incident in a statement and offered his condolences.
Balochistan has been an epicenter of violence, with multiple terrorist attacks this year targeting citizens, security personnel and workers from other provinces.
Security forces carried out two operations last month in the province’s Hoshab and Kohlu districts, killing 19 suspected terrorists belonging to the illegal insurgent BRA.
