WASHINGTON, June 14 (PTI) Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit to the US, US business leaders have expressed their optimism and excitement about India and want to see technological advancements in industries such as semiconductors between the two countries. Convergence deepens, defense, cybersecurity and telecommunications.
On Tuesday, the US India Business Council (USIBC) hosted its annual India Ideas Summit ahead of next week’s state visit, the largest gathering of Indian and US CEOs, and it was probably the only topic of discussion at the conference.

BJ Arun, TiE Global Board of Directors, said the visit was exciting.
“We’re very excited and optimistic about what’s happening in (India). Because he (the prime minister) is very business-friendly. Even in the past, we’ve had political leaders come, but we never followed through, we never really saw It leads to policy changes,” he said.
“This is the first time in the past nine years that we’ve seen someone really commit to this, and actually take action and implement policy based on what needs to be done, and now it’s producing results. We’re seeing results policies being put in place,” Allen said.
