Earlier Monday, authorities mentioned that evacuation orders and warnings had been lifted in another Northern California county, where wildfires threatened about 500 homes and various structures.

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office mentioned that warnings related to the Rice fire were lifted early Monday. Residents have been urged to exercise caution when returning to the area due to the potential for injury.

A hearth explosion last Tuesday near the Yuba River destroyed five homes and eight different structures, hearth officials said.

It started with a burning building that spread near dry vegetation in agricultural spaces northeast of Sacramento, roughly between the state capitol and the Nevada border.

The hearth has burned about 900 acres (366 hectares), 65 percent of which is contained. Full control is expected on Tuesday, officials said. (Associated Press)
