New Delhi [India]April 8 (ANI): Ukraine’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova will start a four-day visit to India starting April 9. She was the first Ukrainian official to visit India since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in February last year.

During the visit, Japarova will hold talks with Foreign Minister (West) Sanjay Verma, during which the two sides will discuss bilateral relations, exchange views on the current situation in Ukraine and global issues of mutual concern, the MEA said in an official press release.

The Ukrainian minister will be on an official visit to India from April 9-12, the press release said.

Zaparova will also meet with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Culture Meenakshi Rahi and Deputy National Security Adviser Vikram Misri during her visit.

According to the MEA press release, India and Ukraine enjoy friendly relations and cooperation in various fields. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 30 years ago, the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, education, culture and defense has made significant progress.

The visit of the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine will be an opportunity to increase mutual understanding and interests between the two countries. (Arnie)
