[ad_1]

New Delhi [India]Dec 13 (ANI): India on Tuesday condemned Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Hussein Brahim Taha’s visit to Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and his Comments published during Pakistan.

“We strongly condemn the OIC Secretary-General’s visit to Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) and his comments on Jammu and Kashmir during his visit to Pakistan,” foreign ministry spokesman Arin Dambach said in response to media inquiries about Taha’s visit. .

He further said, “Let me reiterate that the OIC has no position in matters pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral part of India. Any attempt by the OIC and its Secretary-General to meddle and interfere in India’s internal affairs is entirely unacceptable.”

Regarding the OIC, Bagchi said the organization has discredited its blatantly communal, partisan and factually incorrect approach to issues. He also said the OIC secretary-general had become the voice of Pakistan, according to the statement.

Bagchi said India wanted Taha not to be a partner in carrying out Pakistan’s “evil” agenda of promoting cross-border terrorism in India, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.

The OIC secretary-general met the Pakistani prime minister earlier on Monday during his three-day visit from Dec. 10-12, the OIC said in a statement.

The two sides exchanged views on the question of Palestine, the humanitarian challenges facing the Afghan people, and efforts to address rising anti-Muslim hatred and Islamophobia around the world.

The meeting also reviewed various aspects of cooperation between the OIC and Pakistan, especially in the implementation of the resolutions of the Council of Foreign Ministers during Pakistan’s presidency of the Council, the statement said.

Earlier on Saturday, Taha held a working meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The two sides discussed the relationship between the OIC and Pakistan, as well as issues related to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, Islamophobia and the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan. (Arnie)
