Islamabad [Pakistan]May 15 (ANI): The Islamabad High Court has ordered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry to appear in court tomorrow.
Fawad Chaudhry was arrested outside the Supreme Court (SC) in Islamabad on Wednesday, Geo News reported.
This development comes amid an ongoing crackdown on PTI leaders and workers. According to news reports, Fawad Chaudhry has been present at Pakistan’s Supreme Court since 11:00 am (local time) to evade arrest.
Choudhury was arrested after coming out of the Supreme Court building. Islamabad police arrested Chaudhry under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Ordinance (MPO) and transferred him to the Secretariat Police Station.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf tweeted: “Senior Vice President @fawadchaudhry has been arrested outside the Supreme Court despite being granted IHC protective bail until May 12. The law of the jungle is adjudicating in Pakistan. “
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry told reporters before his arrest that the legal profession had become weak because of infighting among them. “A petitioner has never been arrested in this way,” Geo News reported. He further said that the Islamabad High Court granted the pre-arrest bail a day earlier which he had presented to the Islamabad police earlier in the day. (Arnie)
