Additionally, Jaishankar will discuss India’s relationship with the European Union during his visit, as Sweden currently holds the EU Council presidency.

Jaishankar met with Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Linkevich and discussed strengthening bilateral ties amid the Ukraine conflict.

Jaishankar discussed with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis the European view of the world from an Indian perspective.

“Had a good conversation with Lithuania’s FM @GLandsbergis on bilateral cooperation and the Indo-Pacific region. Also discussed the European view of the world from our vantage point. Agreed to keep in touch,” Jaishankar tweeted.

At the same time, Jaishankar agreed to move forward bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation in his first meeting with Belgian Foreign Minister Rahbib.

“First cordial meeting with Belgian FM @hadjalahbib. Agreed to work together to move our bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation forward,” Jaishankar tweeted.

He also met with Cyprus Foreign Minister Konstantinos Combos and discussed mobility and tourism.

Jaishankar thanked his Romanian foreign minister, Bogdan Aurescu, for his assistance in Operation Ganga, an evacuation mission to bring back all Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine.

“Interviewed with Romanian colleague FM @BogdanAurescu during EU-Indo-Pacific ministerial meeting. Thanks for facilitating #OperationGanga. Discussed defense and energy cooperation. Benefited from his perspective on the region,” Jaishankar tweeted.

He also exchanged views with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Kondorf.
