BRUNSWICK (USA) – A Mexican citizen was sentenced to life in a US prison on Monday for killing a man who reported to authorities that he and his brother cheated on migrant workers People in millions of dollars.

Prosecutors said Rangel-Rubio pulled the trigger after plotting the murder with his brother Pablo Rangel-Rubio and getaway driver Higinio Perez-Bravo.

Both co-defendants had previously served prison terms for their conspiracy to murder U.S. citizen Montoya. Prosecutors said the Rangel-Rubio brothers and Pérez-Bravo were both Mexican citizens living illegally in the United States at the time of the killings.

“Eliud Montoya was murdered for doing the right thing and exposing Juan Rangel-Rubio’s scheme to profit from undocumented workers,” U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia Jill E.
