New Delhi [India]June 8 (ANI): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday named Upender Singh Rawat as India’s next High Commissioner to Uganda.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a press release that Upender Singh Rawat was an officer of the Indian External Affairs Service (IFS) in the 1998 batch. He is currently serving as India’s ambassador to Panama. Rawat is expected to accept the assignment soon.
