EAST LANSING (USA) Feb. 14 (AP) Michigan State University police said multiple people were injured in a shooting on campus.

In a statement on Twitter Monday night, police said there appeared to be only one suspect. It did not say whether anyone was detained.

Michigan State University police ordered students, faculty and staff to shelter in place after reports of shootings around the school’s East Lansing campus.

In an alert issued shortly after 8:30 p.m., Campus Police reported “a shooting on or near the East Lansing campus.” The alert advised students and staff to “get to safety immediately” and monitor alert.msu.edu for information.
