CLEVELAND (USA) July 9 (AP) — Nine people were taken to hospital after an early morning shooting in the nightclub district of downtown Cleveland, but no deaths were reported, authorities said.

Police said initial information indicated that shots were fired at a group of people in the warehouse area around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, when the club closed. The suspect then fled the scene.

Officers in charge of the area’s weekly details arrived quickly and provided medical assistance, police said. Authorities reported that the nine shooting victims were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, and their condition was not immediately known.
