The federal government’s decision came after the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday reinstated the provincial cabinet and Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. At a press conference in Lahore, Railways and Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Home Affairs Minister Rana Sanaullah and Food Safety Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema urged the Supreme Court to take immediate note of the ongoing unrest in Punjab, Geo News reported. Sanaullah stressed that if the Premier plans to dissolve the Provincial Assembly to satisfy someone’s ego, he has the right to ask the Chief Minister for a vote of confidence.
