New Delhi [India]Dec 1 (ANI): Describing today as one of the “most memorable days” in the country’s history, G20 chair Amitabh Kant on Thursday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would Times set the world agenda.

“Today is one of the most memorable days in India’s history as it takes over the G20 presidency. It is a unique responsibility as the G20 accounts for 80% of global GDP. It accounts for 78% of global trade. It accounts for 90% of global trade. % of patents and nearly two-thirds of the population,” he said.

Emphasizing the importance of the young population, Kant said the role of India’s youth will be the most critical and important during India’s G20 presidency.

This year’s G20 University Connect witnessed the virtual participation of students and key academicians from 75 universities across the country with top leaders, scholars and academicians.

At the same event, the G20’s coordinator for India, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, said the moment was a “massive national event” that offered an opportunity to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage and diversity, tourism potential and development prowess.

“India’s G20 presidency is a big national event. Let’s come together, engage in it, immerse ourselves in it, spread it and let it stay etched in our memory forever,” he said.

In his speech, Shringla said that the country’s G20 presidency is both a unique opportunity and a great responsibility for all Indians.

“Indians have a unique opportunity during their G20 presidency and a great responsibility to showcase our rich cultural heritage and diversity, tourism potential and development strength so that the world can derive value from our interactions with us,” he said . (Arnie)
