COLOMBO, July 9 (PTI) A group of protesters entered the private residence of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and set it ablaze amid massive public protests in the country against the unprecedented economic crisis on Saturday (PTI). .

The incident came hours after Wickremesinghe offered to resign to make way for an all-party government, as protests intensified in the country over the resignation of the government led by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Protesters entered Wickremesinghe’s home and set it on fire after tensions erupted between protesters and ground security forces.
