washington [US]April 5 (ANI): A Manhattan court in New York has summoned former US President Donald Trump for his next in-person hearing on December 4, CNN reported.

Trump, who has pleaded not guilty to 34 criminal charges against him, left the courtroom without making a statement.

After leaving the courtroom, Trump left the building and entered the motorcade parked outside. The indictment against Donald Trump accuses the former president of participating in a conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 election.

The indictment against Donald Trump says the National Enquirer’s editor-in-chief and CEO contacted Michael Cohen shortly after the Hollywood tape became public in October 2016. Later, told Cohen, adult film star Stormy Daniels claimed she was having an affair with Donald Trump.

The indictment alleges that Cohen and Daniels negotiated a hush money to “ensure [Daniels’] Remaining silent and preventing leaks of damaging information in the final weeks before the presidential election. ”

According to CNN, citing prosecutors, Trump participated in the scheme to suppress negative information, which included the defendant ordering illegal payments of $130,000 to suppress information that could damage his campaign.

He had earlier turned himself in to authorities at a lower Manhattan courthouse before being arraigned.

In a cryptic post as he arrived at the lower Manhattan courthouse, Trump called the experience “surreal,” adding, “Wow, they’re going to arrest me. Can’t believe this is happening in U.S.”

Trump is expected to be fingerprinted as part of the arrest, but it’s unclear whether his mugshot will be taken, according to CNN. He will next be taken to court, where he will be arraigned — an appearance that is expected to be quick and routine but represents a surreal historic moment in American history.

Donald Trump arrived at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Monday where he is expected to be arraigned in a Manhattan courthouse, CNN reported. Alina Habba, who has represented Trump on several civil matters, said after the meeting with Trump in New York: “He’s in good spirits. He’s the same as usual, to be honest. He’s ready to go. something he needs to do.”

Trump, who is running for the Republican nomination for president next year, has denied any wrongdoing and called the investigation and prosecution a partisan attack. Prague is a Democrat.

On Friday, a team of special agents, accompanied by NYPD officials, toured the courthouse and its entrance, apparently mapping the former president’s passage through it.

The FBI is warning local and state police agencies across the country about concerns about possible prosecution of Trump, and even New York City officials are planning to close major streets in lower Manhattan as a safety measure, ABC News reported. (Arnie)
